Knowing graphic design has been a major game-changer for me as a marketing professional. At the end of the day, it's all about creating content that stirs emotion, shapes a brand's identity, and sets you apart from the competition. Honestly, there’s so much to thank graphic design for. I wouldn't think the way I do if it weren’t for the endless hours spent figuring out how to say everything without saying much at all.
Shaping Minds Through Design and Placement
Probably the highlight of my early career was seeing my designs displayed across Miami on 60-foot floating screens. I remember creating them on my computer, then sprinting to the coast to watch them in action.
Seeing people take photos and react — it felt like my chance to communicate with the city and spark real emotion, whether it was reminding people to vote, encouraging respect for others, showing support for sports teams, or celebrating special occasions. It was all about creating something that connected with people on a deeper level while giving an advertising platform a more human side.

Early in my role at Curran Young Construction, I led the rebranding of our RFPs and client presentations to make them more modern, visually engaging, and easy to navigate. These materials were often the first, and most frequent touchpoints with potential clients, so they needed to reflect the brand in a polished yet engaging way. One client even referred to them as a “work of art,” which was a proud moment in the process!
